Hex Games is proud to announce the release of its newest PDF, Herland: Perfect Genetic Utopia, in early November. Herland is a futuristic setting in the tradition of George Orwell's 1984, Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and, most obviously, Charlotte Perkins Gilman's Herland. It's a world where the women live in harmony because all the men have been shipped overseas. But things are not as peaceful as they seem--there's a secret war going on, and the player characters must choose a side. The PCs can join the Genetic Enforcers, and fight to preserve society, or join the Underground, and try to destroy it.
From August 14 - 17, the Hex Games staff will be at GenCon Indy, the original, longest running, best attended gaming convention in the world. GenCon Indy will be held in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Hex will be running over 20 games, as well as offering seminars on topics like The Art of Collaborative Storytelling, RPG Superheroes, and Cinematic Action.
We at Hex Games pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of genres, tones, and styles, from the teenage angst and adventure of Fort High to the dark investigative thrills of Law and Disorder: Special Crimes department. Look over our list of games, and you'll see that there's something for everyone.
Hex Games will release its next PDF, Herland: Perfect Genetic Utopia, in August. Herland welcomes you to a world split in two, where women live in harmony in their own country while men live across the sea in a society of their own. The society of women seems perfect, but what is the true cost of their luxury and peace? There's a war going on, but it's a war of secrecy, hidden from the public view. And if that doesn't draw you in, how about this: all of the PCs must be female.
